Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause. — Abraham Lincoln
Veteran’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on and express our gratitude for the people who serve and have served this country—those we know as friends, family, and co-workers, and all veterans. The best way we can think of to honor their service is by determining how we can also contribute, serve, and add value. The way we see things, all of us serve each other: our friends and family, our communities, the environment and world around us, and everyone in it.
We believe service makes room for grace, humility, compassion, awareness and strength, and that service begins with gratitude. So even though a mere “thank you” can’t convey the depths of our gratitude, we offer it, humbly, nonetheless.
